GET'EM BOY FITNESS FOUNDATION
The founders of Get’em Boy Limited Company ® are now joining other families on a journey to find a cure for autism through their Get’em Boy Fitness Foundation Corporation ®. Get’em Boy Ltd. Co. ® was birthed through the many pains and struggles that both Lou and Katina Ramos had encountered through their past years. Living the struggles of the financially challenged was not even their biggest obstacle, but trying to find answers to their biggest questions was by far the most difficult of all, “Why us”? Lou (former amateur boxer from Lancaster, PA., with a promised career as a professional boxer) and Katina (a former singer/dancer/songwriter from Washington Heights NY) know what it means to struggle and fight for success but nothing could prepare them for the many struggles that lay ahead. Their son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 11. The misdiagnosis in his early years stemmed from his deafness and the inability to communicate. The struggles went from fighting school systems for proper placement and treatment for their son’s education, to battling financial struggles and inability to commit to careers due to the failures of medical doctors and school systems’ promise to properly treat their child. The word’s “Get’em Boy” ® often used when playing in the back yard with their dogs eventually became a slogan for their commitment to achieve success and soon after became the company that will one day put an end to the financial burdens in their life.

Get’em Boy Ltd. Co. ® anticipates much success and for that reason the founders of the company have decided to join forces with other family and friends in the autistic community by opening the Get’em Boy Fitness Foundation Corp®

Autism is a developmental disability, which usually begins before 3 years of age and is a life-long disability. The incidence of autism is approximately 1 out of every 150 births. Presently, there is no cure for autism. However, there are various treatment options to ameliorate the symptoms. Autism is a condition whose treatments are specifically excluded by some insurance companies.

Get’em Boy Fitness Foundation Corp® will:

Provide children with a healthy and productive environment.

Provide funds for the cure

Provide funds for needy families who may not have insurance for treatment.

Promote daily physical activity with peers and parents/caretakers that promote self awareness and confidence in autistic children

Work with schools to help establish school nutrition standards

Provide nutritional education for parents of autistic children

Help involve parents in their children’s lives through extra curricular activities

Provide training for autistic children to learn martial arts, boxing, and gymnastics to develop motor skills and build confidence.

Provide parents with information to promote health awareness at home.

Work closely with autistic children to help them achieve a stable and healthy diet.

Provide a safe place where parents and their children can utilize our fitness facility together to promote good physical health and family time.

Develop a big brother/big sister program to allow parents to receive some “alone time” with their spouses by providing “big brothers” and “big sisters” to care for their child at the fitness facility.

To give you a brief reality in the type of hurdles an autistic child faces, consider two proteins (gluten and casein) commonly found in everyday foods. Gluten is a protein fraction found in all wheat, rye, barley, and most oat products. Casein is a protein fraction found in all dairy products. To most Autistic children, gluten and casein are the equivalent of poison. They leak into the gut, undigested, and attach to the opiate receptors of the autistic's brain. Essentially, many autistic children are "drugged" on wheat and milk products, as if they were on a morphine drip.

Although parents have been reporting a connection between autism and diet for decades, there is now a growing body of research that shows that certain foods seem to be affecting the developing brains of some children and causing autistic behaviors. This is not because of allergies, but because many of these children are unable to properly break down certain proteins.

With this in mind, Get’em Boy Fitness Foundation Corp. ® will also:

Provide funds for autism gluten and casein free diet research.

Provide needy families with the opportunity to start their children on the GFCF diet by awarding them funds to purchase the products necessary for a successful diet and grant them the possibility to help ease the symptoms of autism.

Family’s that live with the grief of autism rarely get a break from life but with these services, Get’em Boy Fitness Foundation Corp. ® will help “fit the pieces together” to one day find a cure for this devastating disability.
